Privacy Policy

Collecto is a work app for delivery and collection staff. It shows the invoices your company assigns to you and records the cheques you collect, all inside your company’s own Odoo system.

Who is responsible

Collecto is developed by ZestyBeanz Technologies Private Limited (“ZestyBeanz”, “we”). The app does not have its own server or user database. It connects only to the Odoo server of the company you work for (your “employer”), using the server address and login your employer gives you.

Your employer decides what data is kept in its Odoo system, who can see it, and for how long. For data stored in your employer’s Odoo, your employer is responsible, and their own privacy notice applies. This policy explains what the app itself does with information.

Information the app handles

Collecto collects only what it needs to sign you in, show your assigned invoices and record cheque collections.

The app does not use advertising, analytics or tracking services, and it does not collect your contacts, messages, call logs or other files on your phone. The current version does not collect your location.

Camera and photos

The app asks for camera access only when you tap Take photo on a cheque, and for your photo library only when you tap Gallery. It reads the single photo you take or choose, and nothing else in your library. You can turn these permissions off at any time in your phone’s settings; you will then not be able to attach a cheque photo.

How it is used

  • To sign you in to your employer’s Odoo and keep your session active.
  • To show the invoices assigned to you and what is still due on them.
  • To record cheque collections, their photos and the delivery status in Odoo.
  • To show your company’s logo and your profile.

We do not use this information for marketing, profiling or any purpose other than running the app for your employer.

Sharing

Information goes only between your phone and your employer’s Odoo server. We do not sell it or share it with advertisers or data brokers. People in your company who have access to Odoo, such as the accounts team, can see the cheques and photos you submit, according to your employer’s access rules.

If ZestyBeanz maintains your employer’s Odoo system, our staff may access that data only to provide support, under our agreement with your employer.

Security

  • Your password is stored encrypted in the phone’s secure storage, never in plain text.
  • Data is sent over HTTPS when your employer’s Odoo server uses an https:// address. Employers should always use HTTPS.
  • Odoo’s own access rights decide which invoices and records you can see or change.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information the app handles.

Keeping and deleting data

  • On your phone: signing out removes your session and saved password. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored, including the server settings and the cached company logo.
  • In your employer’s Odoo: cheques, photos and delivery records are kept according to your employer’s policies and legal record-keeping duties.

Your user account is created and managed by your employer in Odoo, not in the app. To close your account or delete data held in Odoo, contact your employer’s administrator.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent. For data held in your employer’s Odoo, send your request to your employer. For questions about how the app works, contact us using the details below and we will help or pass your request on.

Children

Collecto is a business app for employees. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If the app starts handling new kinds of information, for example recording delivery location, we will update this policy and the effective date above before that version is released.
